We are thrilled to officially launch the 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑬𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝑾𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 (𝑪𝑰𝑹𝑪𝑬) at Lund University today!
We are comprised of 16 PIs from the Faculties of Medicine, Social Sciences, and the School of Economics and Management, within 9 academic departments, and linked to 7 clinical wards at the Skåne University Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center (SUHCCC).
The 𝑪𝑰𝑹𝑪𝑬 center (𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘯: 𝘊𝘪𝘳𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘎𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘨𝘰𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘺𝘮𝘣𝘰𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳) is supported by a long-term center grant, co-financed by Forte and Vetenskapsrådet.
Our vision is to foster cross-cutting research on women’s cancers to elucidate links between cancer etiology, biology, and treatment, and psychosocial, economic, and dailylife consequences and survivorship, and translate results into clinical practice and policy change.
