Technical information about the website’s accessibility
This website is partially compliant with the Swedish Act concerning the Accessibility of Digital Public Services due to the issues described below.
Content that is not accessible
Images
Some images may have alternative text that is too brief or does not describe the content or purpose of the image clearly enough.
Headings and page structure
Some parts of the website have issues with the semantic heading structure. These include:
- text that visually functions as a heading but is not coded as a heading
- heading levels that skip one or more levels
- an empty heading
- empty paragraphs used to create spacing.
Tables
On the Research page, there is a table in which some header cells are not technically associated clearly enough with the corresponding data cells.
Links
The accessibility test identified a number of links that open in a new window or tab where it needs to be ensured that users are clearly informed of this.
Readability and language
Some texts on the website are complex and contain long sentences and many long or specialist terms. This mainly applies to parts of the home page and the About, Collaboration and Research pages.
As CIRCE is a research organisation, some content needs to use scientific and medical terminology. At the same time, we work to make the content as clear, well structured and easy to understand as possible without compromising scientific accuracy.
How we tested the website
The accessibility of the website has been reviewed using an automated accessibility test.
The test identified issues and potential areas for improvement relating to alternative text, heading structure, tables, links and readability.
